The Independence County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a vehicle recently stolen from a local trucking company parking area.
Deputy Nicholas Ade said long haul truck driver William E. Williams reported his truck was taken sometime during the last week while he was “on the road.”
The truck is described as a blue 1993 Ford F150 XL. It is a short-wheel-base-four-wheel-drive pickup with a silver, diamond-plated Better Built toolbox in the bed.
The Sheriff’s Department has entered the theft into the Arkansas Crime Information Center as stolen. A BOLO has also been put out for the surrounding area.
There is a person-of-interest in the case which is under active investigation.
Sheriff Shawn Stephens also reports what he refers to as a “rolling domestic.” Apparently, a couple got into an argument, which escalated, in a vehicle.
The Sheriff said the female managed to get away, and when the male came back around, he was apprehended by deputies. Sheriff Stephens said the man was taken to jail, and charges will be filed in the case.
