A community drive–thru screening event to assess and test for COVID-19 will be held at the East Entrance of White River Medical Center (WRMC) in Batesville on Thursday, May 21, according to a WRMC release.
The event will last from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and will consist of a verbal assessment. If it is determined a test is needed, a swab will be conducted by staff. Insurance information will be required, the release noted.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include abdominal pain, body aches, diarrhea, dry cough, fever, headache, shortness of breath, and sore throat. Anyone experiencing these symptoms or who suspects they have COVID–19 can participate. All participants must remain in their vehicles and await direction from staff.
The community drive-thru screening event is a collaborative screening between the Independence County Health Department, UAMS Family Medical Center, and White River Health System residents and staff.
