A Batesville man is wanted by Stone County authorities on a charge of third-degree domestic battery against a woman known to be pregnant.
The probable cause affidavit says Stone County deputies responded to a domestic incident near Mountain View on June 24. While en route to the call, dispatch informed officers the offender, identified as Jason Chad Hall, 37, of Batesville, had already left in a white Chevrolet Equinox
According to the affidavit, the victim, who is eight months pregnant, told Stone County deputies Hall allegedly struck her in the face, choked her, placed his hands over her mouth, knocked her down, and drug her across the floor.
The affidavit noted the victim had blood on her mouth and shirt when deputies arrived. Witnesses said when they heard the victim, they attempted to intervene, but Hall got away from the group and fled in his Equinox, almost hitting a person.
A BOLO (Be on the Lookout) was issued on Hall and his vehicle, and shortly after, the affidavit said Izard County authorities called in a pursuit with Hall’s vehicle near Violet Hill, but Hall was able to evade the deputies.
The affidavit also noted Hall is out on bond for false imprisonment and felony domestic battery. Hall has been convicted of more than four felonies and has a criminal history of fleeing, resisting arrest, and failure to appear in court.
