William Madison Wallace Jr., 69, most people knew him as “Junior” Wallace of Horseshoe Bend passed from this life August 26, 2020, at the Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born in Harrisburg on April 16, 1951, the son of William Wallace Sr. and Litha (Webb) Wallace. Junior married Kathy Green on September 4, 2013, and they have enjoyed six years of marriage.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, M. A. Wallace and one sister, Sarah Jane Harlson.
He was a Salesman for John Deere Company serving Northeast Arkansas for many years, a member of Oak View General Baptist Church, and served his country in the United States Army. Junior was so well known for his golfing, hunting/fishing, playing bass guitar and cooking BBQ. Junior also enjoyed the years he spent working as a youth football coach and spending time with family and friends.
Junior is survived by his wife, Kathy Wallace of the home in Horseshoe Bend, four sons: Allan (Amilcar) Wallace of Indianapolis, Ind., Brandon Wallace also of Indianapolis, Ind., Nathan (Holly) Hatfield of Jonesboro, Matt (Allison) Hatfield of Memphis, Tenn., three daughters: Tammy (Larry) Marshall of Pendleton, Ind., Leslie (Keith) Davis of Jonesboro, and Jenny (Daniel) Baskins of Wynne, two sisters: Eva Nell Harlson of Harrisburg, and Barbara McDaniel of Wynne, and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Harrisburg with visitation from 12:00 until service time. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Thompson will conduct the service and these men will serve as active pallbearers: Joey Easter, Daniel Baskins, Mark Baskins, David Wallace, Perry Imboden, and Marty McKnight. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
