M&P Community Bancshares announced the addition of Kristin Owen to the Merchants and Planters Bank team as a mortgage loan processor in the mortgage lending department.
Owen is responsible “…for ensuring the timely and accurate packaging of mortgage loans from pre-approval to closing,” the institution said in a media release.
After completing school in Vilonia, Owen enjoyed a lengthy career in the health-care industry.
She admits the mortgage industry has had its “learning curves, but she’s quickly catching on and adapting,” the release noted.
“It’s a complex industry, but it’s also very rewarding. I’m just transitioning from looking out for people’s physical health to their financial well-being,” said Owen.
Owen and her husband have three children, and in her spare time, she “…can be found hanging out with them, watching movies, or taking the boat out for a spin,” the release said.
“We are very pleased to have Kristin join our banking family. Her values and work ethic make her a great fit for the organization and a true asset in our lending department,” said Lee Conditt, president of the Batesville M&P market.
Owens’s office is located at 3081 Harrison Street in Batesville. She can be reached by phone at (870) 793-3600.
