Friday was a rough night for the Southerners as they fell to the states fifth-ranked Stuttgart Ricebirds, 42-0, in the conference opener and losing key players to injuries.
The Southerners fell to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference action, on the season, and will celebrate Senior Night next Friday as they host to Clinton at Stewart Field.
