The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is hosting a substitute teacher hiring event Thursday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m., at the Chamber office, 409 Vine St. in Batesville.
Applicants must register with WillSub, at pcmiservices.com, and click the link for orientation meetings by State, prior to the meeting.
All fees will be waived for the first ten participants registering with Batesville, Cedar Ridge, Midland, and Southside districts.
“Our school districts are in dire need of substitute teachers. We realize the high cost of background checks can be a barrier to attracting substitute teachers. To remove that barrier, we will gladly cover the cost for the first ten applicants,” said Crystal Johnson, CEO of the BACC.
