James Allen Peel Sr., 88, of Batesville, died October 20, 2020.
He was born August 22, 1932, in Desha to Cecil and Marsden (Mills) Peel.
He was a mason who enjoyed playing poker, hunting, and fishing. James proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include two sons, James Peel Jr. and Tom (Toni) Peel; four grandchildren, Rani, Brian, Soni, Lindsay, and five great-grandchildren, Austin, Dallas, Chance, Delyla, and Chase.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; one son, Mark Peel, and his sister, LaVerne Seymore.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Alderbrook Cemetery with Randy Seale officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.
