Carolyn Drennin 73, of Newport, departed this life Tuesday, October 20, 2020. She was born on January 8, 1947, in Newport to Marion and Cora (Gaskin) Clark. She was of the Church of Christ belief. She enjoyed cooking, singing, fishing, collecting wind chimes and feeding the birds.
She was employed by McCrory Schools where she was a cook for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sons Allen (Becky) Vanlandingham of McCrory and Jimmy Vanlandingham of Patterson, four brothers; Roger, Britt, Bart, Eddy, four sisters; Sandy, Vickie, Phyllis and Pam, two grandchildren; Anna and Jamey Vanlandingham, and her dog, Little Bear.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Eight Mile Cemetery.
