Gracie Lee Cox 63, of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020. She was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Blackville, Arkansas.
She was the daughter of Newman Denson and Earcy Lee Prunty. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant who enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. She also enjoyed drawing, painting, cooking, and singing. She was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, four sisters; Ethel Ruffins, Sally Morgan, Emma Jean Bangura, and Margaret Young, and a brother; Frank Morgan.
Cox is survived by her daughters; Letitia Morgan of Lake City, Amy Archield ( Jermain) of Jonesboro and Demira Morgan of Jonesboro, One brother; Raymond Morgan (Deborah) of Wisconsin, and three sisters; Carolyn Wyatt of Jonesboro, Fannie Morgan and Lorice Robinson both of Newport, and five grandchildren; Antonio Jones, Ja’Kayla Foots, Jaliyah Archield, Jermaine Archield Jr. and Jh’Kari Rose and a host of nieces and nephews.
