Franklin Darby, 71, of Newport, departed this life on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at The Waters of Newport.
He was born on Oct. 31, 1949, in Brickeys, the son of late Ernest and Hazel (Heward) Darby.
Darby loved to farm, truck driving, going fishing, hunting, and watching westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Paul Lee Darby; and four sisters, Brenda Slife, Mary Darby, Ernestine Darby, and Dorothy Neldon.
Franklin leaves behind one, Franklin Darby, Jr. of Des Arc; daughter, Wendy Gale of Des Arc; brother, Richard Darby of Newport; sisters, Cindy Beal and husband Delbert of August, Carolyn Brown of Texas, and Cathy Parker of McCrory; and two grandchildren.
