Douglas King 64, of Newport, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020.
He was born March 23, 1956, in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Marvin King and Geraldine (Hawkins) King.
He was employed by the City of Newport. He enjoyed deer hunting, vegetable gardening, and being outdoors. He also liked watching football and the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Shauna Nicole King.
He is survived by his wife Carla Caswell of the home, and his son Derek Dwayne King (Felicia) of Brookland, a brother, Mike King (Donna) of Hickory Ridge, and a sister, Marilyn McGee of Newport.
Graveside service will be Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at 2:00 at Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:30 at the cemetery.
