Atlas Asphalt and White River Materials in Batesville recently completed the purchase of Twin Lakes Quarries in Mountain Home.
Atlas Asphalt President Mark Lamberth said the purchase from the King Family in Mountain Home consisted of an asphalt/ready-mix operation, twin quarries, real estate, and operational assets.
He said the properties will now operate under the Atlas Asphalt/White River Materials name.
Lamberth said all personnel in the Mountain Home operation were retained, and that addition now brings the number of Atlas Asphalt/White River Materials employees to over 200.
“We have added good people to the Atlas Asphalt/White River Material family, and we are proud to be a part of Baxter and Marion Counties. We are truly optimistic about the area’s future,” said Lamberth.
Lamberth said his companies are also optimistic about the work that will be done on Arkansas’ infrastructure, work that was made possible when the voters continued the half-cent sales tax last November.
Lamberth noted that the Mountain Home purchase expands the company’s area of operation in northcentral and northeast Arkansas.
Atlas Asphalt and White River Materials operate Asphalt plants in Batesville, Jonesboro, Mountain View, Pocahontas, Helena, Payneway, McCrory, and now Mountain Home.
The company’s two ready mix plants are located in Batesville and Mountain Home.
