Joe Ted “Corkey” Smith, 72 of Cave City passed away, Friday, May 7, 2021, at his home. He was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Cave City, Arkansas to John Ike and Enid Hazel (Felts) Smith.
He was retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Don, Gleen, Jairl, James William, and Billy John Smith, and one sister, Peggy Williams.
Survivors include one sister, Maggie Philpott of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Eutopia Cemetery located west of Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert McCracken, Wendell Perkey, Mark Smith, Robin Smith, Dale Williams, and David Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Smith, Keith Mize, Red Lassiter, and Gale Smith.
