It looks as if there’s going to be competition for the office of Independence County Judge in the 2022 Republican primary.

Bryan Anderson, who recently retired from ARDOT (Arkansas Department of Transportation) after a long career, spoke to White River Now’s Gary Bridgman on Thursday morning about his intention to run for the office.

“After working for the state for over 30 years, I retired from the Arkansas Department of Transportation on March 31,” Anderson, 54, told Bridgman. “I have road building and maintenance knowledge on both the state and local level, and I have the desire to work for public safety and spending tax dollars wisely.”

Anderson, a graduate of Cushman High School, served in the U.S. Navy from 1985 to 1989. He currently serves as chairman of the board of North Arkansas Farm Supply.

Anderson announced his intention to run for the office on his candidacy’s Facebook page Wednesday night.
