At the beginning of June, Southside Schools Superintendent Roger Rich will officially retire from the Arkansas educational system. The last 20 of his 30 years in the field have been at Southside.

Rich has served in the Southside Schools administration as assistant superintendent under Dan Foley, and of course, as superintendent himself.

Rich (pictured above, left) visited with White River Now’s Gary Bridgman (right) about his years in education and his plans for the future.

Listen to their conversation below.

Rich will be replaced by Assistant Superintendent Dion Stevens, whom Rich said is an excellent selection for the job.
