Obituary: James Burton Arnold III

James Burton Arnold III passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at the age of 69.

He was born Oct. 25, 1951, in Batesville, AR to the late James Burton Jr. and Margaret (Fleming) Arnold.

J.B was a real estate appraiser and owned his own business called Arnold and Associates, which he owned from 1984 until he retired in 2012. During his time in real estate, he was one of 14 appraisers appointed by governor Bill Clinton onto the Arkansas Appraisers Advisory Committee in 1991. Before entering into real estate, while in college majoring in behavioral sciences he worked at Brent Towing Company as a deckhand during the summers. He was also a certified concealed carry instructor for several years up until his passing. J.B loved being outdoors and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to tell them how proud he was. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose memory will be forever cherished by those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Angela Lee Arnold; his son, Alexander Burton Arnold; his daughter, Sarah Arnold Williams; his son-in-law, JT Williams; and his three grandkids, Aubrey, Austin, and Aiden Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Norman Harkey.

Honorary Pallbearers include Chaz Davis, Tommy Jones, Keith Sturch, Randy Weaver, Alexander Arnold, and Gary Cloud.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021, at White Drive Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m.
