A Stone County man has been charged with possessing or viewing child pornography.
According to an affidavit of probable cause for arrest, cyber information received by local authorities on June 15 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to a Stone County residence.
At the residence, investigators seized alleged evidence via a search warrant, and according to the arrest affidavit, the suspect, identified as David Moon, 20, later stated in a recorded interview with investigators that he had a “moderate amount of child pornography on his laptop and cell phone.”
Moon (pictured below in his booking image from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office) was charged by authorities Thursday in Stone County Circuit Court with 30 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
His bond was set at $250,000.
