Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, has announced two additions to its credit department leadership team with the addition of John Thomas (pictured above, left) as SVP senior credit officer and the promotion of Trish Morrow (right) to AVP credit analysis manager. The addition of these roles will increase credit support at Citizens Bank for its customer base across the state and reflects its commitment to developing the next generation of progressive bankers, the bank noted in a media release.
“We are fortunate to have John’s experience and background at Citizens Bank,” said Adam Mitchell, CEO of Citizens Bank. “His assimilation with our credit culture makes this an outstanding fit for our People First team. Excellent asset quality is a top table stake for the bank and I am confident that John will be able to support and execute outstanding work.”
Thomas, previously serving Simmons Bank as a credit analysis manager, will be responsible for all credit functions of the bank and portfolio management. He will be based in the Little Rock branch.
“We have a talented and knowledgeable team of bankers. It is a privilege to work with them to find solutions that work for our customers and provide them with the best credit support possible,” said Thomas.
Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Arkansas and a Master of business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He and his wife reside in Little Rock with their two daughters.
Morrow, previously serving as an AVP credit analysis supervisor at Citizens Bank, will take on new responsibility in this role to lead a team of credit analysts and work with lending officers on the structures of various credits. She will ensure loan policy compliance and manage underwriting procedures while based in the Rogers branch.
“Our team is fortunate to have Trish serving in this role. She is a critical part of our credit culture and exemplifies our People First mission by always prioritizing the needs of her colleagues and the bank. Her promotion is well deserved,” said Thomas, senior credit officer.
Morrow has been a dedicated teammate at Citizens Bank and previously held multiple roles at Bank OZK.
“I enjoy knowing that the work we do helps the customer achieve their business goals while also ensuring the soundness of the bank,” said Morrow. “I look forward to continuing to support our People First mission as we work to provide the best credit services to our clients.”
Morrow graduated from Henderson State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She and her husband reside in Rogers with their son.
