Mary Louise York, 79, of Pleasant Plains passed away Friday, July 30, 2021.
She was born Oct. 18, 1941, in Joiner, Arkansas to James Luther Kuykendall and Willie Ruth (Burgess) Kuykendall.
Mary was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering. She loved being a mother and a MaMaw. She always enjoyed cooking for other people and was always baking goodies for the Pleasant Plains Fire Department.
Survivors include her son, James ”Ron” York (Shelly) of Pleasant Plains; daughter, Jennifer York-Leneave of Anchorage, Alaska; and three grandchildren, Sydney York, Sarah Ring (Michael), and Hunter York (Cassidy).
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Butch Kuykendall and Victor Kuykendall.
Pallbearers are Hunter York, Michael Ring, Joshua Creameans, Devin Creameans, Scott Daughtry, and Ron York. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Pearson and Landon Daughtry.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Ronnie Toon officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at the funeral home.
