Troy Leon Burgess Jr., 57, of Newport departed this life Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was born on Jan. 21, 1964, to Troy and Shirley (Arnold) Burgess.
Leon was a Christian who loved being outdoors and on the river. He also loved his animals. He was a craftsman by trade and was always building something.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Burgess.
He is survived by his father, Troy Burgess Sr. of Newport; his wife, Jennie Burgess of Newport; his daughter, Felicia Talley of Newport; his son, Robert Cheshier of Newport; his sisters, Teresa Cheshier, Cindy Turner, Nora Winkles all of Newport; his grandchildren, Regan Cheshier, Memphis Cheshier, Remington Cheshier, Bella Cheshier, Audrey Talley, Joseph Talley, and Anna Brumley.
