Donna Louise Hagar, 73, of Newport departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1947, to E.B. King and Ellen Burnside.
Hagar attended Jacksonport Baptist Church; her favorite pastime was reading her bible. She was a true friend to everyone and was well-loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds in her yard. She loved spending time with her grandbabies, all eighteen of them, and her 20 great-grandchildren as well.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Vicki George; her brother, Steve King, and her husband, Ray Hagar.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Hagar of Newport and Jeff Jones of Poughkeepsie; her daughters, Shannon Mahan (Edd) of Grubbs and Merri Fleming of Poughkeepsie; one brother, Jim King (Tammy) of Newport; three sisters, Linda Swink (Bob) of Tuckerman, Barbara Lindsey of El Paso, Texas, and Deloris Howard of Tuckerman; eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Service will be Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Dillinger Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Thursday.
