Sammy Hatler, 78, of Oil Trough passed from this life Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, in Batesville. He was born in Cord Ar., Jan. 16, 1943, the son of Paul Dickerson and Mandy Evelyn Douglas.
He was a Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed farming, fishing, deer hunting, and family gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lucy Lee Tinnel.
Sammy is survived by the love of his life of 57 years Vivian Hatler of the home; son Derek of Oil Trough; brother, Doug Hatler of Cord; sisters, Paula Yuhas (Arnold) of Charleton Heights, W.V., Linda Fagan (Dan) of Allen, TX.; grandson, Derek Hatler Jr. (Lori) of Batesville; great-grandchild, Paris Hatler of Newport.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Dillinger Funeral Home with burial in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home 5 -8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021
