A Mountain View man, barred from a motel in the city because of suspected illegal drug activity, was found to be in that location again on Monday, according to information from Stone County Circuit Court.

The complaints were that known drug users and dealers have been congregating on the motel property. Robby A. Spiller, 40, had been trespassed from the motel and told not to be on the premises, the court record said.

Authorities led by Stone County Chief Deputy Sheriff Dammon McGilton and Lt. Jeremy Beaudin set up surveillance of the motel and reported seeing Spiller and two females going in and out of one of the motel rooms.

The court info said McGilton and Beaudin went to the room and made contact outside with the two women, one of whom finally told the two officers that Spiller was in the room, but only for a few hours. When McGilton knocked on the door, Spiller answered and told the two officers the two females let him “hang out there,” according to authorities.

McGilton said in the court information he noticed a glass smoking pipe utilized for meth in plain view on the end table. At that point, Spiller was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.

The court documents said Spiller allowed his vehicle to be searched where McGilton reported finding a baggie of crystal methamphetamine on the console of the car.

Authorities say Spiller was processed at the Stone County Jail and then transported to the Searcy County Jail for holding.
