Carolyn Ruth Draper, 71 of Batesville passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021. She was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Des Arc, Arkansas to Fred and Mabel Mapps Grammer. She was a USDA poultry inspector for 43 years and a member of the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Raymond Lee Lewis Jr.; three brothers, Freddy Grammer, Bo Grammer, and Eddie Grammer; a half brother, Clifford Grammer; a sister, Pauline Lane; a half-sister, Evis Gray, and a grandson, Tyler Lewis.
Survivors include one son, Gary Lee Lewis of Concord; one daughter, Chris Wood and husband Greg of Batesville; four brothers, Phillip Grammer (Sondra), Jay Grammer (Paula), Jimmy Grammer (Mary Ann), and Jerry Grammer all of Floral; three sisters, Pat Carnaghi (Jim), Dorothy Piety and Shirley Wortman all of Floral; five grandchildren, Katelyn Burch (Logan), Bridget Lewis, Gary Lewis, Devin Wood (Danielle) and Jordan Colton (Greg); six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Floral Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Howard and her grandson, Devin Wood officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Servi
