It’s Operation Christmas Child season again.

Volunteers are ready to receive shoebox gifts packed with school supplies, hygiene items, and small toys. The shoeboxes will be sent to children in impoverished areas of the world.

Operation Christmas Child is a “hands-on” project where families or groups can join to pack boxes to bless those who have very little.

Calvary Baptist Church, located at 17th and Lyon in Batesville, has served as the local drop-off location for over 10 years.

National collection week is Nov. 15-22, and Calvary will be open the following hours:

  • Monday, Nov. 15: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 16: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 17: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 18: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 19: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 20: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 21: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 22: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
