John Robert Durbin Sr., 66, passed away on December 25, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 12, 1955, to Robert Durbin and Mary Perrin.

John was an Army veteran and was proud of his service to his country. He also took pride in his work as a truck driver. During his free time, John enjoyed working on vehicles and fishing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. John was a true family man. For all the achievements he had accomplished, he considered being a husband, father, and grandfather to be the greatest honor of them all. Although he will be missed greatly, his memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Durbin; mother, Mary English Perrin Durbin; son, John Durbin Jr. (Nicole) of Newark; daughters, Joaney Swafford (Jamie) of Newark, Jamey Smith (CJ) of Newark, and Jody Self (Jesse) of Newark; brother, William Joe Durbin; sisters, Mary Jowers and Jerrie Luann Dobrzeniecki; grandchildren, Alexis Archuleta of Newport, Brianna Roberts of Batesville, Jamie Kyle Medley of Batesville, Karaden Self of Newark, Graycie Roberts of Batesville, Mattie Self, Jesse Tucker Self, Ashton Medley, Connor Pearrow, Memphis Pool, and Coby Roberts; as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Durbin; stepfather, Glen Perrin; sisters, Debbie Peco, Ruth Marshall, and Margie Bumpous; and grandson, River Medley.
