Janet Renae Gibbs, 66, of Batesville, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Janet was born on February 27, 1955, in Anderson, IN to Jay Webber and Fay (Culp) Webber. Janet’s passion was her faith and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was of Christian faith and served the Lord Jesus Christ as a member of the First Assembly of God in Batesville. She also served the Lord by the way she lived her life. Janet was devoted to serving others, she was a supporter of John 3:16 Ministries and King’s House Transitional Home. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is reunited in heaven with her father, Jay Webber; her sister, Wanda Duran; and her son Terry Gibbs. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years. Jerry Gibbs; her mother, Fay Webber; her two daughters, Amber Ammons (Tony) and Angela Gatewood (Tyler); her two sisters, Anita Walker of Las Vegas, NV and Valerie Howell of Phoenix, AZ; her 13 beloved grandchildren, Caitlyn Hubbard, Dylan Ammons, Lacey Hall, Kerry Lynnlee Dean, Audrey Ammons, Austin Ammons, Lauren Ammons, Evelyn Gatewood, Luke Gatewood, Alex Gibbs, Arica Gibbs, Addy Jane Ammons, and Tony “T.J.” Ammons; one great-grandson, Dawson Dean, and another great-grandson on the way Samson Walker Hall; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a visitation Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 6 PM until 8 PM; The First Assembly of God in Batesville (20th Lyon St) will host the funeral service on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 10 AM with interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Dennis Dixon, Jerry Middleton, Tracey McMahan, Jim Whitson, Ray Powell, and Anthony Tate.
