Obituary: Shirley Hendrix

Shirley Hendrix, 68,  of Newport passed away Sunday in Newport. She was born in Batesville on July 6, 1953, to Elba Vernon and Mindy Pauline (Lee) McCoy.  Shirley was a member of the Jesus is Lord Worship Center. She loved drinking coffee and socializing with people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ronnie Tidwell, one daughter, Rebecca Bryant, two brothers; Donald McCoy, Tommy McCoy, three sisters; Shirley Goodwin, Elba “June” Sauceda, and Linda Wilson.

She is survived by her two brothers; Earl McCoy and wife  Paulla of Wayland, MI, Vernon McCoy and wife Mildred of Bald Knob, three sisters; Oma Jane Magness of Newport, Ann Minett of Pearl, MS, Karol Milsap of Kelso, WA, three grandchildren; Joshua Tidwell of Conway, Dustin Bryant of Newport, Lillyana Bryant of Newport, one great-grandchild Elijah Billingsley of Little Rock.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday, January 19 at the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Magness, Marcus Magness, Michael Magness, Vernon McCoy, Earl McCoy, Jeremy Linvell.
