Ernestine Bowren, 91, of Floral, Arkansas passed away on January 23, 2022.
She was born August 18, 1930, in Pangburn, Arkansas to Leslie A. and Mae Ruth (Nicholson) Baker.
She was an active member of Floral Baptist Church. She retired from the Midland School District and loved her flowers, gardening, and canning. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.
Survivors include one son, Robin Bowren (Traci) of Pleasant Plains; one sister, Lula Belle Froud of Step Rock; seven grandchildren, John Foster (Stace), Jessica Withers (Shannon), Reginald Bowren (Khristina), Heather Westmoreland (Dusty), Kevin Bowren, Neda Davitt (Alex), Kayla Rickett (Nathan); 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild as well as two daughters-in-law, Rosalee Bowren of Judsonia, and Dandra Bowren of Rogers; one sister-in-law, Doretta Baker, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Bowren; two sons, Reggie Bowren and Ricky Bowren; one sister, Hettivee Van Patten, and one brother, Augustine Baker.
Pallbearers are Keith Tharp, Mike Tharp, Randy Sharp, Daryl Brown, Wayne Gay, and John Foster. Honorary pallbearers are Freddy Tharp, Reginald Bowren, Kevin Bowren, Ethan Bowren, Shannon Withers, Nathan Rickett, and Dusty Westmoreland.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Floral Baptist Church with Joe Jackson and Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
