Michael Dewayne Henson of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 47. He was born March 11, 1974, in Wynne, Arkansas, the son of Henry Edward and Glenda (Skaggs) Henson.
He was a graduate of Cross County High School and farmed for Sammy Vaught Farms. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church at Hickory Ridge.
He was a welder, and a talented tattoo artist, who enjoyed collecting arrowheads and antiques.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Edward Henson.
He is survived by his mother, Glenda Henson of Hickory Ridge; two sons, Max Henson of Wynne, and Matthew Henson of Searcy; one daughter, Molly Henson of Wynne; one brother, Joey Henson of Wynne; one sister, Paula Huey and husband, Dewayne of Cherry Valley; two grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home, Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Maple Springs Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Greg Dunham, Jimmy Polston, Herman Skaggs, Landon Skaggs, Butch Martin, and Bill Martin.
