Linda Joyce (Wright) Chambers, 72 of Jonesboro departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at St. Bernard Medical Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on March 27, 1949, in Harrisburg, Arkansas the daughter of James E. “Buddy” and Margie (Vanhoozer) Wright.
Her parents both preceded her in death and one brother, Benny Wright.
She was a Bookkeeper several years of her life and a member of the Friendship Assembly of God in Jonesboro, Arkansas. After finishing high school in Harrisburg She finished two years at Delta Voc. Tech in Marked Tre, Arkansas.
She married Amos F. Chambers on November 22, 1997, and they have enjoyed 24 years of marriage. She enjoyed sewing, reading, craft working, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Amos Chambers of Jonesboro, one brother, Jimmy and wife Judy Wright of Harrisburg, Arkansas, one sister, Brenda and husband Larry Forbis of Marion, Arkansas.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas. On Wednesday ~ January 26, 2022 funeral service will be held at Friendship Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg. Rev. Nathaniel Morse will conduct the service.
