Danny Roe Richardson, 81 of Batesville departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2022. He was born March 10, 1941, in Jamestown, Arkansas to John Roe and Allene Faye (Dishongh) Richardson. He served his country for 25 years, serving 10 years in the U.S. Air Force and 15 years in the U.S. Army. He loved reading about history and the Bible. He was a member of Desha First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for several years and enjoyed singing in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Luella Faye (Lewis) Richardson of the home; two sons, Jerry Richardson (Jan) and Richard Richardson (Rosetta) both of Batesville; two daughters, Daniella Dorling (Paul) and Theresa McGarity both of Florida; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Sammy Joe Richardson (Kathy) of Mississippi; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Desha First Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Swinea officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Richardson, Richard Richardson, Jeremy Richardson, Scott Hoffman, Matthew Richardson and Paul Dorling.
