What better way to celebrate Pi Day than with an actual…pie, and a Moon Pie, at that.
Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used to represent the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter — approximately 3.14.
Celebrated across the world on March 14, Pi Day is an opportunity for math fanatics to recount the infinite digits of Pi and, thanks to the Independence County Library, for the rest of us to eat pie.
The library, located at 267 E. Main St. in Batesville, will be offering free Moon Pies on Monday, March 14.
The Moon Pies will be first come, first serve (one per patron) – no reservation required.
The Independence County Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
