M&P Community Bancshares has announced the addition of Eva Henriksen to the Merchants and Planters Bank team as assistant vice president – loan officer. Henriksen will be responsible for managing commercial and consumer loans as well as establishing and maintaining business relationships in Newark and the surrounding areas. She has 36 years of experience in the banking industry and has worked with Merchants and Planters for three of those years.

“We are very pleased to have Eva re-join our banking team,” says Jim S. Gowen Jr., president and CEO of Merchants and Planters Bank. “She understands the needs of our customers and has a genuine love for Newark. We know that she will represent our organization with integrity and is invested in the success of our bank and the community.”

When she’s not banking, Henriksen and her husband Jamie spend time with their three children and two grandchildren. She is thrilled to return to the M&P family and excited to get back to the Newark area.

“Newark is such a great community,” says Henriksen. “I am honored to serve them and look forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.”

Henriksen is currently available full-time to customers at the Newark Office of Merchants and Planters Bank, 595 Vine Street. You may also reach her by phone at (870) 799-2000.
