Another big change in local sports has been announced.

Tracy Stewart-Lange, the highly successful head womens basketball coach at Lyon College, has taken the head coaching position at Delta State University in Mississippi. (Click here for more info from Delta State University.)

Kevin Jenkins, Lyon’s director of athletics, told White River Now’s Gary Bridgman on Thursday that Lange’s last day will be April 29.

Stewart-Lange, a Lyon College alumna and member of its Athletic Hall of Fame, was named the Coach of the Year by her peers after leading the Scots to their third-consecutive American Midwest Conference regular-season title with a 27-4 overall record and a 17-1 record in AMC play in March.
