Ronnie Glen Gates, 69, of Tuckerman departed this life on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born March 2, 1953, to Charley Ray and Lucille (Stoner) Gates.
Ronnie attended the Walnut Ridge Gethsemane Baptist Church. He loved God and his family. He had a love for the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a knack for making hot tamales and loved doing so.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Kathryn Green and Louise Emery; his brother, Sam Gates; and his nephew, Scotty Gates.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Gates (Theresa) of Bentonville; his brothers, J.C. Gates (Glenda) of Tuckerman and Jerry Gates (Velda) of Newport; sisters, Carolyn Bailey of Tuckerman, Sue Huskey (Carroll) of Tuckerman; grandchildren, Austin Gates of St. Louis and Caden Gates of Bentonville; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
The service will be at 11:00 on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Brother Derrick Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time. Interment will be at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Gates, Charles Gates, Shawn Gates, Anthony Gates, Greg Peavy and Ronald Hutchison. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Green and David Emery.
