A day of fun and food is planned as area businesses will be in the spotlight during the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) Business Expo at the Batesville Community Center gymnasium.

Presented by FNBC, the event is free and will be open to the public beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8.

Evie Clauss (pictured above), BACC’s hospitality coordinator, visited with Wes Gwaltney on Arkansas 103.3 KWOZ’s “The Morning Scramble” earlier this week about the big day. Listen to their conversation below.

The Taste of the Chamber, featuring local cuisine served by chamber members, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Career Showcase, providing an opportunity for job seekers and businesses to find each other, will occur from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A kids’ zone will also feature a bounce house, crafts, and more.

The Chamber says vendors “…will engage with visitors, celebrate the superlatives that make their brand unique, and distribute promotional items, food samples, and beverages throughout the day. Visitors can increase their chances of winning door prizes and giveaways by visiting vendor booths.”

The business-to-business trade show, available to participating vendors, will occur from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Business Expo will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

FNBC and BACC present the expo with additional support from Bad Boy Mowers, the City of Batesville, Merchants & Planters Bank, Peco Foods, RAWK Imprinting, The UPS Store, Suddenlink Business, and the White River Health System.
