Sharon Griffin Gardner, 78, of Jonesboro departed this life on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She was born on January 27, 1944, to Ruphard Almo and Oleta Jewell (Stacy) Griffin.
Sharon loved the holidays and family gatherings. She adored her grandchildren and the time spent with them, especially the tea parties they had together. She enjoyed painting, working on her flowers and cooking. She also liked collecting face sculptures and buttons.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Janie Evans and Marilyn Hill.
She is survived by her sons, James Gardner (Laura) of Tuckerman and John Gardner (Hattie) of Tuckerman; her daughter, April Gardner Horton (Michael) of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Megan Cherry (Steven), Taylor Runyan (Harrison), Shelby Gardner, Brooke Gardner, Kenadi Gardner, Derrick Horton (Amber), Shane Davis (Beth), Rylee Miller; her great-grandchildren, Maren Cherry, Beau Cherry, Mayla Cherry, Saige Runyan, Maxton Runyan, Ryles Runyan, Camron Horton, Ryder Horton, Ashton Davis, Bailey Davis, Kasen Shelton, Reese Rathel, Molly Rathel, Otto Lewis, Jolie Arnold, Onyx Lewis, baby Gardner coming soon; special nieces and nephews; a host of extended family and friends; special friend Teresa Day; and the Tuckerman Class of 1962.
A Celebration of Life service will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home chapel.
