Caroline White Spillers, 81, of Batesville passed from her earthly body on July 21, 2022, in Mountain Home, AR. Caroline was born in Monroe, LA where she resided until she was wed to Ronald C. Spillers on August 14, 1960.
She lived in Longview, TX for 25 years before moving to Batesville in 1989.

Caroline was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Batesville, an accomplished pianist and dulcimer player and loved to perform and listen to music. She played handbells for many years and sang in the choir of every church she attended.

Caroline (Didi to her family) loved to play games. It didn’t matter if it was Scrabble, cards, dominoes or Bananagrams–she was always up for playing games. She especially loved to play them with her beloved grandchildren. Anytime they visited her, it was likely that they would be found around the game table. She loved being surrounded by lots of friends and/or family members and the chaos of everyone talking at the same time.

Caroline met the love of her life, Ron Spillers, at a party in 1959. They were married for 49 years before his untimely passing from brain cancer in 2010. They had a very blessed life together and his death left a large hole in the rest of her life.

Didi’s other great love in her life was travel. She went on many trips overseas with Ron and then later with her son and grandchildren, visiting over 40 countries in her lifetime. She celebrated her 80th birthday last summer on a 3 week trip to the Greek Islands with her entire family. Caroline loved to laugh and will be remembered by those who knew her for her smile and sense of humor. She loved strawberry ice cream and chili dogs. She was a wonderful grandmother and she will be missed very much.

Didi is survived by her son Kevin Spillers and his fiancée Sue Lowery of Mountain Home. Also, by her seven grandchildren: Amber and Jordan Spillers of Longview, TX, Tyler Spillers of Atlanta, GA, Dexter Spillers of Olympia, WA, Mason Spillers of Morganton, NC, Fletcher Spillers of Mountain Home and Briana Berry of Bentonville, her brother Ray White of Los Angeles, and her former daughters-in-law Kelly Spillers and Carla Berry.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ron, her son Chris, her parents Dewey and Claire White, her dear younger sister Esther Claire White and Ron’s parents, Cona and Lois Spillers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church.

Memorials can be made in her honor to: First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 610 E. Main Street, Batesville, Arkansas 72501; or Heifer International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202.
