Obituary: Glenna Jean Chancey

Glenna Jean Chancey, 93, passed away on July 22, 2022. She was born in Batesville, AR., on December 8, 1928, to the late William and Viola (Halk) Milligan.

Glenna was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville, AR., as well as a member of the Civil Service in Flagstaff, AZ., Frayser Rescue Squad in Memphis, TN., and an active PTA Member. She was a Junior Bowling coach and ran a bowling league for the Patient’s Home for The Incurables in Memphis, TN. In her youth, she played pitcher on her softball team. Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed it.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Connie Chancey; son, Allen Chancey and daughter-in-law Gail; brothers, Roy and Troy Milligan; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Michael and son-in-law Joshua; and grandson, Peyton Chancey. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior (Bug) Milligan, Bill Milligan, and John-Butler (JB) Milligan; and sisters, Virginia (Susie) Gonzalez and Shirley Manuel.

A Memorial Service will be held at Harrison Street Church of Christ on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 5 PM.
