Obituary: Kenneth Wayne McCall

Kenneth Wayne McCall, 60, of Batesville departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022.  He was born May 16, 1962, to Roy and Billie Joe (Knight) McCall.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Beulah Knight and W.C. and Georgia Eastell McCall; and several aunts and uncles.

Kenneth attended Landmark Baptist Church.  He was a kind and caring man who would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need.  He had a special adoration and love for his nieces and nephews.  He loved being outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, camping or driving around on his tractor.  He was known for his favorite saying which was ”and the thing of it is. . . “

He is survived by his life partner, Margaret Scrivner of Evening Shade; his father, Roy McCall of Batesville; his mother, Billie McCall of Batesville; his brother, David McCall(LaSondra) of Weiner; his nieces, Amy Duvall of Batesville, Amber Quattlebaum (Brandon) of Batesville; Makenzie McCall (Andrew) of Ward, Nikki Taylor (James) of Pocahontas; his nephews, Aaron McCall (Megan) of Bradford, B.J. Dawson (Rani) of Tuckerman; nineteen great-nieces and nephews.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are; James Taylor, Terry Gipson, Brandon Quattlebaum, Jack Duvall, Aaron McCall, Tyler Williams; Honorary pallbearers are his great-nephews.

The service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Maple Springs Baptist Church with Brother Curt Howard officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 until service time.  Interment will be at Walker Cemetery in Poinsett County.
