A Beedeville man is in the Jackson County Jail after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, according to Region 8 News KAIT.

The Jonesboro television outlet reports Steven Ray Hollaway, 64, has been arrested in the case of two Beedeville residents who were found dead after a house fire in late July. Hollaway is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Region 8 News said the Arkansas State Police announced the arrest late Monday. (Click here for the Region 8 News story.)

The bodies of Kathy Holloway, 60, and Keith Dewayne Woolbright, 43, were found inside the Beedeville residence by authorities July 29 after a local fire department extinguished a fire inside the home. Beedeville is south of Newport. Authorities said both Kathy Holloway and Woolbright resided at the residence.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department requested the Arkansas State Police to investigate the deaths. Special agents of the state police Criminal Investigation Division began what is described as a “homicide investigation” on July 30. (Click here for the original story from White River Now.)
