Glenda Fay James, 78, of Batesville passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in Batesville.
She was born March 3, 1944, in Batesville. She was the daughter of Winford Hix and Minnie Cossey Hix. She was a beautician and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed making jewelry, shopping, going to church and spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Con James; 4 brothers, Joe Hix, Wayne Hix, Virgil Hix and Jerry Hix; as well as one sister, Wanda Tuten.
Survivors include a son, Keith James of Batesville and a sister, Elveda Richardson also of Batesville.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Liberty Cemetery in Gainsboro with Dennis Green officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Whitener, Alan Whitener, Artie Whitener, Xander Boss, Shane Goforth and Bentley Whitener
Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Hix, Ellis Tuten, Shelby Branscum, Ronnie Hix and Johnny Coles.
