Kenneth L. Hughes, 83, of Sulphur Rock passed away on September 10, 2022.
He was born June 9, 1939, in Sulphur Rock to Henry Francis Hughes and Ethel (Young) Hughes.
Kenneth was of the Pentecostal faith and worked at Griffin Feed and Seed Company for many years. He loved his dog, Jack very much and enjoyed doing crafts, such as painting and wood burning. He also loved being outdoors, gardening, welding, and working on cars.
Survivors include two children, Kenneth ”Kenny” Jr. and April, both of Cave City, his brother, Donald Hughes, Sr. (Freda) of Sulphur Rock; nieces, Tonya Rhoades (Billy), Sharon Pillow, Kim Bufford Stillings, Sherry Norton and one nephew, Donald Hughes, Jr., also surviving two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold Hughes; and three sisters, Della Mae Hughes, Ruth Ann Hughes, and Linda Kay Bufford.
Pallbearers are Donald Hughes Jr., Billy Rhoades, Tommy Young, Wayne Gibbs, Dan Scribner and Benny Bishop. Honorary Pallbearers are Dean Lindsey, Dr. JR Baker, Dr. Hunter Brown, Dr. John Lynch and Dr. Desikan.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Danny Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
