The Mountain View Yellowjackets remained unbeaten Friday night with a dominating 64-14 victory over the Rose Bud Ramblers.
It was a complete team victory as the Yellowjacket offense totaled 475 yards on the night while the defense limited the Rambler offense to 113 total yards.
Junior Quarterback Drew Shelton led Mountain View with 170 yards rushing on 18 carries, he also passed for 97 yards and five total touchdowns. Levi Rorie added 97 yards on the ground, 14 receiving yards, and a rushing touchdown. Mountain View also got a rushing touchdown from Trampas Stubbs and Laddie Sims, while Jace Tinkle and Landon Goins each had receiving touchdowns.
Defensively, the Yellowjackets were led by Goins with 12 tackles. Tinkle added 7 tackles and Jesy Decker 6 tackles. Drew Isbell and Chad Russell each had a fumble recovery as Mountain View improves to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
Rose Bud’s Brayden Reedy returned the opening kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown and had a 26-yard touchdown reception to lead the Ramblers who fell to 0-3 on the season, and 0-2 in conference play.
Next week Mountain View travels to Genoa Central in a conference game.
