
Donna Thurman, 87, of Batesville passed away on September 27, 2022.
She was born the daughter of Fred Thompson and Viola (Turner) Thompson on January 4, 1935, in Bremerton, Washington.
Donna was a member of Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 56 years and worked for White Rodgers for 27 years. She was a feisty, loving, and devoted lady who enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, sewing, painting, and going to the lake.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married November 26, 1980, Jerry “JT” Thurman of the home; two sons, Scott Thurman (Tonya) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Andrew Thurman of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Vickie Pryor of Palm Coast, Florida, and Jana Vinson (Gary) of Batesville; ten grandchildren, Michelle Allen (TJ), Billy Finnie (Cori), Jason Duncan (Carmen), Heath Duncan (Courtney), Blake Finnie (Ashley), Emilie Thurman, Heidi Thurman, Evelyn Thurman, Alena Thurman, and Eric Thurman; nine great-grandchildren, Brayden Duncan, Bryson Duncan, Olivia Allen, Trey Allen, Jaylin Duncan, Tori Finnie, Bell Finnie, Trevor Finnie, and Jackson Robinson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Billy McSpadden, three sisters, and one brother.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 am at Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rian Puckett officiating.
