William “Bill” Williamson, age 90, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on October 23, 2022, in Batesville. He was born January 25, 1932, in Pine Island, LA to Charles and Marie Williamson. He was in the ministry for over 50 years. He was an assistant Chaplain and a volunteer at White River Medical Center for many years. He served in the Army. Later on he also served in the Air Force and was a World War II Veteran. He loved to golf and lived for service to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of over 60 years, Mary Ellen.
Survivors include his son, Robert Williamson (April) of Bella Vista; daughters, Mary Chambers (Kevin) of Jonesboro and Teresa Sharp (Mike) of Southside; four grandchildren, Lindsey Norman, Anna Mullis (Caleb), Charles Williamson and Sarah Strobel (Grant); four great-grandchildren, Greyson Norman, Ross Isaac Mullis, Robby Mullis and Jaden Mullis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Stacy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
