Alene Smith Stevens, 84, of Clifty, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022, in her home. Mrs. Stevens was born on Tuesday, November 16, 1937, in Twin Creek, Arkansas to the late Hanley Smith and “Dimple” Stevie Hutchinson Smith.
Alene was a member of the Twin Creek Church of Christ for many years. She was the Administrator for several Head Start programs across Arkansas including those in Washington, Stone, Independence, Izard, Fulton, and Sharp Counties.
Left to cherish her memory are; one son, Mike Stevens of Twin Creek, Arkansas; three daughters, Vicky Douthit (Bob) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Connie Harp (Bill) of Clifty, Arkansas, Crystal Byrd of Clifty, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Bridget Henry (Richard), Bryan Thomas (Kimmy), Nathan Harp (April), Adam Byrd (Megan), Jacob Byrd (Tyler), William Byrd, Michael Lee Stevens; six great-grandchildren, Trevor Henry, Mason Henry, Tiffany Thomas, Trinity Thomas, Macie Satterfield, Dayton Byrd; two great-great-grandchildren, Violet Byrd, Addison Satterfield; two brothers, Charles Smith (Sherry) of Melbourne, Arkansas, Jim Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Stevens is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over fifty years, Charles Stevens; two sisters; two brothers.
