Today is Giving Tuesday.
The White River Now media family and Citizens Bank are teaming once again with area businesses and individuals to raise money for the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch.
“The Ranch” costs approximately $2 million annually to operate and is funded 100% by private donations with no state or federal funds.
You can help on Giving Tuesday by dropping your donation at the Citizens Bank headquarters, 655 St. Louis St., during a White River Now live broadcast from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today. Several area businesses have agreed to match donations, so every dollar you give goes further.
Since 1976, The Ranch has been home to over 2,000 children. The Ranch often takes in sibling groups in order to keep them together. And children at The Ranch attend local schools and have homework and chores around The Ranch.
Micah Beard (pictured below), regional president for Citizens Bank’s North Central Arkansas Market and a Ranch board member, recently visited with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker about The Ranch and Giving Tuesday.
